Fruiting Ylang Ylang Vine (artabotrys hexapetalus)

Exotic mesmerizing fragrance! Also known by its common name in India as Manorangini or Hari Champa, it produces greenish uniquely shaped flowers that fade to yellow and are highly fragrant. Once picked the flowers can be used to flavor tea or displayed in a small vase, where they retain their amazing smell for days and will fill an entire room with their aromatic scent. Flowers left to hang on the vine slowly develop into oddly shaped clusters of non-edible green round fruit. Considered a vining shrub, it is quite resilient and easy to grow in most moist, well drained areas of the garden or in a container on a patio. Providing a trellis or wall will allow this tropical to become showy and decorative.
