Very showy! Considered the smaller of the Screw Pines. The trunk is smooth and the branches grow at wide angles. Long smooth edged, lance shaped leaves are deep green margined with a mellow lime or yellow wide strip in the center and spirally arranged. Easily grow as a house plant when young, Tectorius can reach 20 feet or more with age. As the plant grows and branches these send out prop roots to brace the long heavy branch, which in turn develop into supporting trunks.
